Is Trade Empire free to play?
Yes. Live Version 1 is free to play in a web browser. There are no energy gates, paid currency, or pay-to-win systems.
What devices does it support?
Trade Empire is designed for modern desktop and mobile browsers. The command center adapts to smaller screens, though the denser business tools are most comfortable on a larger display.
Is Trade Empire multiplayer?
No. The live release is a persistent single-player business simulation. Competitors, buyers, sellers, contacts, and market shifts are simulated by the game.
Does the game save my progress?
Yes. Economic actions persist immediately, each eight-hour sleep rollover creates an automatic checkpoint, and players can create named manual checkpoints and restore them later.
How does a game day work?
Each day begins at 8:00 AM and provides a 16-hour waking window. Actions move the clock forward. Sleeping for the required eight hours processes the market, expenses, projects, logistics, competitors, and commitments before the next day begins.
What is included in Version 1?
Version 1 includes the complete source-to-sale loop, eight acquisition channels, 116 item archetypes across 35 categories, business growth, reputation, saves, account recovery, and a guided opening. The roadmap lists every planned expansion, with dates still to be determined.
How is this different from an idle or clicker game?
Profit is not automatic. Players must judge uncertain inventory, investigate condition and authenticity, negotiate, manage costs, choose selling channels, and accept that some deals should be abandoned.
What can I buy and sell?
The procedural catalog contains more than 100 item archetypes across 35 categories, including electronics, cameras, furniture, tools, scientific instruments, recorded media, ceramics, printed ephemera, art, jewelry, instruments, books, clothing, outdoor equipment, vehicle parts, collectibles, and antiques.
Does Trade Empire teach real appraisal or financial advice?
No. Trade Empire is a fictional strategy game. Its prices, laws, loans, risks, and business systems are designed for simulation and should not be treated as professional appraisal, legal, lending, or financial guidance.
